Worked the ambulance with Jerry today. Was getting really hungry for my hot dog and so ended up going to 7-11 around 1. I'd looked earlier for No Pork on Dis Fork, but he wasn't where he normally is. My guess is because if the rain he didn't open up shop today. At 7-11 they had a dog on the roller and a sign said it was good to eat until 4:30. The date matched today’s. I told the guy I wanted a dog. He asked if my partner in the car wanted one, too. I said no., he wasn't hungry. He's already eating the chili he brought it work with him. They had a deal at 7-11 where you could get one hot, a bag of chips and a big gulp for $3. $3.14 with tax.
That’s what I did and it was a good dog. I put some onions on it.
No sooner did I finish the dog, then we got sent to Newington --dog town, but I was full with the big bite so we didn’t hit Doogie’s. We got a call near the end of our shift, and took the patient to New Britain. I thought about getting a dog at Capitol lunch on the way back, but Jerry was a little under the weather today and I knew he wanted to go home. He only came to work today because he didn’t want to leave me hanging and i respect that. That’s the code ambulance partners have for each other.
